Gotta Start Somewhere

Welcome To My Blog

This is about getting into the music business which use to be one of the hardest things to do. I know because I have been trying way before the social media became the hottest thing going. Even now it's still tough but with everything I have inside of me, I can't stop, I have to keep going.

I got the computer so now I need some programs to make music. I didn't really know what I was doing so I decided to get a program called American Idol Extreme Music Creator.    This program is perfect for beginners. The reason I say this is because I was introduced to placing and separating tracks. It will even let you record your vocals with a regular computer mic. I was able to make songs with it, but after a while I wanted to have more control over my tracks and not just generate loops. This will familiarize you with seeing the music and understanding waves and mp3's. Make songs for your friends and burn them to a CD. Do what I did! Make your first album and impress everybody. Of course after a while you would want to expand your horizons and get a new program to manipulate some sounds.

So next a friend of mine had told me about this other program called FL Studio. When I found this program I was in heaven. I have some new sounds to play with and I can manipulate sounds and do some crazy tracks.
I got into this program a little shaky at first because my beats were off. I had a hard time finding tempos and a very difficult time placing tracks. I began watching videos on YouTube and then I started actually doing some quality tracks. The tracks I made was so good, I went ahead and made this>>>>  From the upcoming album "THE STRUGGLE"  one of my many songs that i have been working on for my album.  I find FL Studio to be great for doing anything you feel when it comes to putting music together. The more advance you get, you then want to upgrade your sound bank with new sounds and VST instruments.

Now that my beat game is tight, I wanna put some vocals on these lyrics...
To record vocals I use a program called Reaper.  Let me tell you. There are a lot of programs out there, but this one here really did the trick for me. This is quality sounding, and very easy to learn. Because of my sou nd card I am able to use my usb mic for recording. Changing effects to give your voice that extra it is especially easy.

I am sharing my experience with you in the event you are trying to figure everything out. Just keep at it and never give up. Even though I haven't made it to my dream plateau, I still wish and believe that the next big artist is out there.
